Value the Valleys
The saying “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” isn’t just a mental gym metaphor, but indeed a reminder that there is more to life and that there is gain for every pain if we choose to sharpen our perspective, act, and be patient enough for the outcome.
“The valleys sharpen your perspective, deepen your gratitude, and make your victories sweeter. What makes the mountain beautiful is the fact that there are valleys.”
4 Dark Realities of Unfaithfulness
Unfaithfulness slows a man down; it is like a thick curtain that separates him from actualizing the persona he is designed to be. Unfaithfulness encourages premature growth and celebrates cancerous characters with ambitious hope that builds narcissistic tendencies.
Opinions Vs Counsel: The Dangers of Not Listening to People
According to Ryan Holiday, in today's Daily Stoic episode titled "Stop Caring, What people think." He said something that struck me, "don’t spend much time thinking about what other people think. Think about what you think. Think instead about the result. About the impact, whether it is the right thing to do."
On reading this, you might feel the need to throw every piece of advice, criticism or feedback given to you by friends, family, strangers etc. I get it, some opinions are void of facts and cannot yield results.
Could This Be The Reason Why People Don’t Help You?
Regardless of whoever you are or whatever you are, you need help. You want it now like never before. The more you ask for help, the more it seems to run away from you.
Sometimes, you question yourself, doubt yourself and even feel like giving up because you aren’t seeing any need to ask for help in the future.
I feel like asking for help can position you to be humble, which doesn't come easily. Yet after laying away pride, you still don’t get what you are requesting.
